Another Day in Alice - Veteran's Day

Another day in Alice. Getting ready for a joint service Veterans Day (U.S) / Rememberance Day (AUS) ceremony. It is always interesting to see other countries military services and how they perform ceremonies. One thing I have always cherished about the military is our ability to live overseas and experience life with other cultures. I think that is what has kept me in going on 15 years now.

Friends Leaving

This blog will help me reflect on the last year spent living in the outback. The thing about the lifestyle we have chosen is it is very nomadic for us and our friends. For example, two families that had been here since our arrival two years ago just moved on yesterday. It is a very sad time because life here draws everyone closer than I have ever experienced so when people leave it is like a piece is missing from life. No worries though, this lifestyle also promotes reuniting so there is a good chance paths will cross again in the future.
